My Monday inspirational meal

I'm excited to hear these Illinois guys are sharing their stories about their comeback churches.

Here's a description of today's first session at IDC.
Four Illinois churches who have experienced growth and health will share a practical testimonial of their comeback journey, presenting some of the key strategies in moving an existing church from less than 50 people and limited resources to stability and a preferred future. Presenters will include Jeff Morrow, Matteson (1997-present); Brian Sanders & John King, Morton (2007-present); Rick Thiemke, Yorkville (2000-present); Kevin Kringel, Roscoe (2003-present).

Current Teaching at The Fields

We are a life-giving church.
Our mouths should reflect that.
We may just need to learn how to zip it.

As mama always says, if you can't say something good, then don't say it at all.

Rolled out the Respect

We rolled out the red carpet, and the respect, Sunday morning at The Fields Church.
We wanted every lady to know they deserved honor and celebrity status.

Here's a quick look at my message:
E! True Hollywood Stories
"Real Moms"
1. Real moms aren't perfect. But God's grace and mercy covers all those imperfections.
(A mom who was a former Meth addict shared her powerful story!)

2. Real moms need God's help.
(DCSF foster parents of 13 years shared how they trusted God during all the challenges.)

3. Nothing is greater than a mom's love.
(We showed a video that encouraged moms to keep on loving!)

Here are some pics from the Red Carpet Entrance

It's Official!

First Assembly of God is now...

There was 100 percent unity with church membership on May 6 to change the name of the church.

Beyond the Blinds

Sometimes I don't even open my blinds in my office.
I shut myself in sometimes to get away from the noise, the busyness, and questions...

But today I took this picture just a few feet away from my outside window.

New life.
Miracles.
Potential.

We need to open our blinds more often and take notice of what God is doing.

More people reconnected to Jesus this week at church. He is doing great things in people's lives.
We need to open our eyes and see that God wants to breathe new life into people.

"I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest."
John 4:35
