i use the NIV the most... i think that's because it's always been the version typically used by my churches and classes... for straight reading I like to read the message (I know it's not a translation) but it's a fun way to read...

for a church we use the NKJV the old people in our church like to use it and that's what in our pews

I study from the NASB and cross-reference using: NIV, NKJV, ESV, NLT, and NCV.

I stay away from The Message.

I use the NIV, but when I lead bible studies in juvenile hall we use something like the contemporary english which is easier

When I'm actually studying to prepare for something, I use the NIV. When I'm just doing my daily quiet time, lately I've been reading through The Message.

NRSV for serious Bible study. I like the Message for narrative preaching, and I enjoy reading the two side-by-side at Bible study class.

I frequently cross-reference the KJV, NIV, RSV and even the NLT for translation issues.

NIV, MSG, CEV, NKJV, KJV

I use biblegateway.com and youversion.com

I cross reference a lot, and I typically like to read with a Strong's Concordance handy.

Ah yes, "The Massage." :)

for personal reading I typically read The Message or the Word on the Street (which I know, are both paraphrases).

I use the NASB, NIV, and NLT for message prep and study.

Amplified Bible (from Joyce Meyer Ministries)

Any and all. The more voices the clearer things seem to get...

My personal favourite right now is the TNIV. Especially in the Books of the Bible format from International Bible Society... good stuff
