poor little guy

Cooper, our 4-week-old son, is being treated for acid reflux.

Acid Reflux, or GERD, may be difficult to detect in infants and children. Symptoms may vary from typical adult symptoms. GERD in children may cause repeated vomiting, effortless spitting up, coughing, and other respiratory problems. Inconsolable crying, failure to gain adequate weight, refusing food, bad breath, and belching or burping are also common. Children may have one symptom or many — no single symptom is universal in all children with GERD. (wikipedia)

Yo, Travis! Dave Bates here. I'm sorry for your little one, I'll be praying for him. My wife and I also have a four week old baby. Wyatt was born on Christmas Eve. That makes two boys for us now. Two and out. I'll be forty this year and can't handle getting no sleep.

I'll forward the info about your baby to Sonny and Mark and the others that you know from GPH. Say hi to Joy for me.

Kaitlyn our eight year old has reflux. She began projectile vomiting as a newborn. We had to put her on soy formula. Many times they grow out of it. Kaitlyn in the last year has had to get a perscription although most days she doesn't need it if she is careful in what she eats. Praying for his health. (P.S. be prepared to change clothes alot!)
